The radiant body is dominated by a magnificent large ikat peacock motif in rich red, sky blue, and deep purple, a symbol of grace and royalty, surrounded by an intricate tapestry of ikat floral vines, heart motifs, and geometric patterns in red, blue, purple, and dark brown.
Every motif is achieved through the painstaking double ikat resist-dyeing process, where both warp and weft threads are dyed before weaving, resulting in the characteristic feathered edges that are the unmistakable hallmark of authentic Patola craftsmanship. An olive green ikat border band adorned with red and cream geometric flower and heart motifs frames the body, flowing into a deep maroon border with a broad antique gold zari geometric lattice weave for a regal, festive finish.
