The body transitions into a spectacular temple gopuram spike (korvai) weave — a dramatic row of tall, tapering dark forest green spikes rising from the body into the border, each spike rendered in the classic Kanchipuram korvai interlocking technique, creating a silhouette of temple tower (gopuram) forms in deep forest green against the yellow-orange check ground.

1. How should I store my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Store your Kanchipuram silk saree in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Wrap it in a soft muslin or cotton cloth rather than plastic to allow the fabric to breathe. Refold the saree every few months along different lines to prevent permanent creases. Keep neem leaves or silica gel packets nearby to protect against moisture and insects.

2. How do I clean my Kanchipuram silk saree?
