The Border: A study in layered classical architecture beginning with a fine golden-yellow zari temple crown motif edging band that crowns the transition from body to border, followed by a royal blue stripe with a fine gold zari line, leading into the wide central deep navy-blue band woven with intricate small geometric triangle and diamond lattice motifs in dark olive-gold thread work, a dense, all-over pattern of extraordinary weaving precision. A golden-yellow geometric zari edging band completes the border below, tying every layer together with warm gold precision.
