Pure Kanchipuram silk saree in a striking ivory cream and olive green two-colour large ogee medallion (tanjore arch kattam) body — a continuous interlocking grid of large ogee (pointed arch) frames alternating between ivory cream and olive green silk, each medallion enclosing a fine self-colour gold zari floral bouquet (pushpa bouquet) butta — a small ornate floral spray in antique gold zari rendered in the same colour as the medallion ground, creating a subtle tonal self-colour effect within each frame. The ogee grid is separated by fine ivory silk ground with small scattered gold zari cross-petal buttas at each intersection. The two-colour ogee medallion is one of the most architecturally refined body patterns in Kanchipuram weaving.

Anchored by a broad antique gold zari dense scrolling floral vine (pushpa latha) border — a wide expanse of warm antique gold zari with a dense all-over scrolling lotus bloom and acanthus leaf vine in relief gold zari weave, flanked by fine magenta pink silk accent stripe bands with small gold zari dot sequences above and below the main border band. Finished with a narrow deep magenta plain silk selvedge. Korvai construction.

FAQ

1. How should I store my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Store your Kanchipuram silk saree in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Wrap it in a soft muslin or cotton cloth rather than plastic to allow the fabric to breathe. Refold the saree every few months along different lines to prevent permanent creases. Keep neem leaves or silica gel packets nearby to protect against moisture and insects.

2. How do I clean my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Always dry clean your Kanchipuram silk saree to preserve the silk quality and gold zari work. Avoid washing at home as water and detergents can damage the delicate silk fibers and tarnish the zari. If you notice minor stains, gently blot (don't rub) with a soft, dry cloth and take it to a professional dry cleaner experienced with silk sarees.

3. Can I iron my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Yes, but with caution. Iron your Kanchipuram silk saree on the reverse side using a low to medium heat setting. Place a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the saree to protect the fabric and zari work. Never iron directly on the gold zari as high heat can damage the metallic threads. For best results, iron while the saree is slightly damp or use a steam iron on low setting

Wonderful experience!

I ordered two sarees from the UK to be delivered to my address in India. The shopping experience was hassle free with Mr Ganesh helping me over WhatsApp to select the best saree pattern and design. Without Ganesh's help, I wouldn't have been able to select the perfect sarees for my boy's party. Thanks for your help :)

Very good collection. Even better staff.
We came here for wedding shopping. Ms. Veena is brilliant sales person with tonnes of patience. The other staff members are also very friendly. They showed us the sarees without any hesitation and made sure we were satisfied before shopping. We shopped here entirely for everyone and it's a very good place to shop. Highly recommend to visit this store
