Unlike mass-produced sarees, a designer saree is a curated piece created by a fashion designer or boutique. It typically features unique motifs, premium fabrics (like pure silk, organza, or georgette), specialized handwork (like Zardosi, Gota Patti, or Chikankari), and an exclusive color palette.

How should I wash my designer saree?
Strictly dry clean only. Designer sarees feature delicate hand-embroidery, sequins, and pure dyes that can easily run, shrink, or unravel if washed in water at home.

What is the best way to store a heavy or embroidered saree?
Never hang a heavily embroidered saree on a hanger, as the weight of the work will stretch and tear the fabric over time. Instead:

Fold the saree loosely.

Wrap it in a pure cotton or muslin cloth to let the fabric breathe and prevent silver/gold threads (Zari) from oxidizing.

Store it flat in a dark, dry wardrobe.

Refold the saree every 3–4 months to prevent permanent creasing or tearing along the fold lines.
