Pure Kanchipuram silk saree in deep crimson red plain silk with scattered small gold zari four-petal cross rosette (pushpa kattam) buttas — compact, ornate four-petal cross rosettes with a fine central dot in antique gold zari, placed in a spaced diagonal repeat across the luminous crimson red silk ground.

Anchored by a spectacular broad self-colour crimson red border with an all-over dense gold zari large-scale naturalistic botanical garden (pushpa vanam) jaal — a painterly, densely woven all-over composition of tall individual stems bearing large, individually delineated botanical forms: lotus buds (closed, with fine petal seam lines), open lotus blooms (with multi-layered radiating petals and a fine concentric centre), artichoke seed heads (with dense overlapping scale-form bracts), tulip buds (with smooth closed petals), large round chrysanthemum blooms (with densely packed narrow radiating petals), wheat ear spikes (with individually delineated grain husks) and broad banana leaf forms (with fine central midrib and lateral vein lines) — all rising from a fine gold zari diagonal self-stripe ground fill covering the entire border. At the base of the stems sit two small gold zari naturalistic crouching deer (maan) figurines — each deer rendered with individually delineated legs, ears and body contour in fine antique gold zari. Finished at base with a narrow plain antique copper-gold zari tissue selvedge band. Korvai construction.

FAQ

1. How should I store my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Store your Kanchipuram silk saree in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Wrap it in a soft muslin or cotton cloth rather than plastic to allow the fabric to breathe. Refold the saree every few months along different lines to prevent permanent creases. Keep neem leaves or silica gel packets nearby to protect against moisture and insects.

2. How do I clean my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Always dry clean your Kanchipuram silk saree to preserve the silk quality and gold zari work. Avoid washing at home as water and detergents can damage the delicate silk fibers and tarnish the zari. If you notice minor stains, gently blot (don't rub) with a soft, dry cloth and take it to a professional dry cleaner experienced with silk sarees.

3. Can I iron my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Yes, but with caution. Iron your Kanchipuram silk saree on the reverse side using a low to medium heat setting. Place a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the saree to protect the fabric and zari work. Never iron directly on the gold zari as high heat can damage the metallic threads. For best results, iron while the saree is slightly damp or use a steam iron on low setting

Wonderful experience!

I ordered two sarees from the UK to be delivered to my address in India. The shopping experience was hassle free with Mr Ganesh helping me over WhatsApp to select the best saree pattern and design. Without Ganesh's help, I wouldn't have been able to select the perfect sarees for my boy's party. Thanks for your help :)

Very good collection. Even better staff.
We came here for wedding shopping. Ms. Veena is brilliant sales person with tonnes of patience. The other staff members are also very friendly. They showed us the sarees without any hesitation and made sure we were satisfied before shopping. We shopped here entirely for everyone and it's a very good place to shop. Highly recommend to visit this store
