Kuberan Brown Kanchipuram Silk Saree

Pure Kanchipuram silk saree in deep espresso brown and black two-colour iridescent plain silk with an all-over fine diagonal self-stripe (kora diagonal) body weave — continuous fine diagonal lines running across the entire body in a subtle self-colour tonal texture, creating a characteristic directional shimmer against the deep espresso-black iridescent silk ground. The close-up reveals the fine diagonal rib weave structure — a dense, tightly woven diagonal twill that gives the silk a distinctive tactile quality and deep, rich lustre.

Anchored by a spectacular broad contrast antique cream and warm ivory gold zari tissue border — a wide expanse of warm antique cream gold zari tissue silk featuring large, scattered self-colour gold zari naturalistic floral tree (pushpa vriksha) buttas — large, ornate flowering tree motifs in antique gold zari, each tree composed of a central trunk with multiple branching stems bearing large chrysanthemum and marigold-form blooms, smaller floral sprigs and individual leaves, rendered in fine relief antique gold zari on the warm cream tissue ground. The border is framed top and base by dense sage green meenakari and gold zari geometric diamond lattice (kattam jaal) multi-band selvedge bands — alternating bands of dense sage green meenakari diamond lattice, fine gold zari dot-bead sequences and narrow plain cream silk bands. Finished with a narrow deep black plain silk selvedge at top. Korvai construction.
