Woven in a luminous sage green tissue silk, this Kanchipuram saree carries the quiet confidence of a piece that has been crafted with extraordinary patience and skill. The tissue weave lends the fabric a soft, golden shimmer ā€” as though sunlight has been woven into the cloth itself.

Across the body, large appliquƩd paisley motifs in dusty rose silk are hand-embroidered with Zardosi work: marquise-cut crystals, round rhinestones, and gold seed beads arranged in intricate floral compositions. Between the paisleys, the tissue ground is scattered with individual marquise stones and tiny gold butti, giving the saree a jewelled, all-over radiance.

The border is a deep maroon Banarasi-style weave, densely patterned with antique gold lotus and peacock motifs ā€” each one further embellished with hand-set mirror-cut crystals and rhinestones. The contrast between the sage body and the maroon-gold border is both dramatic and deeply traditional.
