Rooted in the ancient weaving traditions of Kanchipuram, this forest green silk saree is a masterclass in the art of restraint and richness existing in perfect harmony. The body is woven in a dense, all-over golden jaal — an intricate lattice of antique gold thread forming a continuous field of ogee-shaped medallions, each one a tiny universe of craftsmanship. Against the deep forest green ground, the gold shimmers with a warmth that deepens in candlelight and glows under the sun.

Scattered across this golden jaal are hand-applied Zardosi butti motifs: scattered rhinestones catching the light between the woven medallions, adding a quiet sparkle that never overwhelms the weave beneath.

The true showpiece is the border — a wide antique gold tissue band densely embroidered with Zardosi sunflower medallions. Each medallion is built from layers of amber and champagne glass beads radiating outward from a central pearl, flanked by round-cut rhinestones and mirror-work discs. The effect is of a jewelled garland running the full length of the saree.

Placed across the body are large Zardosi paisley motifs — each one a composition of gold bullion thread, sequins, rhinestones, and seed pearls — that anchor the eye and tell the story of a saree made entirely by hand.

FAQ

1. How should I store my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Store your Kanchipuram silk saree in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Wrap it in a soft muslin or cotton cloth rather than plastic to allow the fabric to breathe. Refold the saree every few months along different lines to prevent permanent creases. Keep neem leaves or silica gel packets nearby to protect against moisture and insects.

2. How do I clean my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Always dry clean your Kanchipuram silk saree to preserve the silk quality and gold zari work. Avoid washing at home as water and detergents can damage the delicate silk fibers and tarnish the zari. If you notice minor stains, gently blot (don't rub) with a soft, dry cloth and take it to a professional dry cleaner experienced with silk sarees.

3. Can I iron my Kanchipuram silk saree?
Yes, but with caution. Iron your Kanchipuram silk saree on the reverse side using a low to medium heat setting. Place a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the saree to protect the fabric and zari work. Never iron directly on the gold zari as high heat can damage the metallic threads. For best results, iron while the saree is slightly damp or use a steam iron on low setting

Wonderful experience!

I ordered two sarees from the UK to be delivered to my address in India. The shopping experience was hassle free with Mr Ganesh helping me over WhatsApp to select the best saree pattern and design. Without Ganesh's help, I wouldn't have been able to select the perfect sarees for my boy's party. Thanks for your help :)

Very good collection. Even better staff.
We came here for wedding shopping. Ms. Veena is brilliant sales person with tonnes of patience. The other staff members are also very friendly. They showed us the sarees without any hesitation and made sure we were satisfied before shopping. We shopped here entirely for everyone and it's a very good place to shop. Highly recommend to visit this store
